glycerin is a sweet syrupy trihydroxy alcohol obtained by saponification of fats and oils. synonyms: glycerine, glycerol. type of: alcohol. any of a series of volatile hydroxyl compounds that are made from hydrocarbons by distillation.

Palmitic Acid

Palmitic acid is used in skin care mostly as an emollient and moisturizer — and sometimes also to help with cleansing. Its primary benefit for skin health is locking in moisture by forming a protective layer on the skin.

Lauric Acid

Lauric acid is a powerful substance that's sometimes extracted from the coconut for use in developing monolaurin. Monolaurin is an antimicrobial agent that's able to fight pathogens such as bacteria, viruses, and yeasts.

Oleic Acid

Oleic acid is a type of fatty acid. Oils with oleic acid are used to replace saturated fats in the diet. Oleic acid might improve heart conditions by lowering cholesterol and reducing inflammation.Oleic acid is an unsaturated fatty acid that is the most widely distributed and abundant fatty acid in nature.

Stearic Acid

Stearic acid is a versatile fatty acid that functions as an emollient, emulsifier, cleansing and texture-enhancing ingredient in skin care formulas. It has been shown to protect skin's surface against water loss and help shore up skin's protective barrier.

Linoleic Acid

Linoleic acid is an essential (indispensible) nutrient that contains 2 double bonds at the ninth and 12th carbons from the carbonyl functional group. Because humans cannot incorporate a double bond beyond the ninth carbon of a fatty acid, this fatty acid cannot be synthesized and thus must be consumed.
