Mono Chloro Acetic Acid
MCAA or its sodium salt, sodium monochloroacetate, are used primarily in the industrial production of carboxymethyl-cellulose, herbicides, and thioglycolic acid as well as in the production of plastics, pharmaceuticals, flavors, cosmetics, and other organic chemicals.
Ethylene Dichloride
Ethylene dichloride is a lead scavenger, and therefore appears as a component of most leaded fuels. Ethylene dichloride was also used as an extraction solvent, as a solvent for textile cleaning and metal degreasing, in certain adhesives, and as a component in fumigants for upholstery, carpets, and grain.
Epichlorohydrine
Epichlorohydrin (ECH) is another versatile chemical intermediate used in a variety of applications, including epoxy resins, textiles, paper products, inks, dyes, automotive and aircraft parts, biocides, personal care products, and ion-exchange resins.
Perchloroethylene
Perchloroethylene has been used as an ingredient in a range of common products such as water repellants, paint removers, printing inks, glues, sealants, polishes and lubricants because of its durability and ability to adhere to plastics, metal, rubber and leather.
Methylene Dichloride
Methylene chloride, also called dichloromethane, is a volatile, colorless liquid with a chloroform-like odor. Methylene chloride is used in various industrial processes, in many different industries including paint stripping, pharmaceutical manufacturing, paint remover manufacturing, and metal cleaning and degreasing.
Trichloroethylene
Trichloroethylene (TCE) is used as a solvent in the manufacture of a number of products to degrease metal components. In consumer products, it can be found like some wood finishes, adhesives, paint removers and stain removers. TCE can also be used in other chemical manufacturing.
